perhaps what requires the most courage is the act of accepting who and how you are made to be, not the one that’s “dirty” and “sinful”, but the holy part, the daughter who holds authority when she speaks, who silences lies as she lifts her voice, and the woman who upholds integrity regardless of her past.

but maybe, the thing that requires the most courage is the thing that’s worth standing up for, and often the most exciting one.

Being in SF takes me back to those days where I was “wild” and more rebellious, but really, I think it brings me to a place of understanding where Jesus was all those times I were “wild”.

He wasn’t far away. In fact, I think that He was even closer. Because if not, how does He manage to relive those memories with me, and sing His love over me as I’m burying my head in tears?

I didn’t become holy to find Jesus. Jesus found me, and then I became holy, and remembered that I had always been loved.

I want our community to be one that actively recognizes Jesus’ presence together. It’s not a community who comes to bible study because the word is involved (of course, the word is important), but because JESUS himself is involved. I want us to actively point out who Jesus is and where He is in our lives. Stop addressing Jesus as third person, He’s here!!

We can’t base our relationship with Jesus on weekly bible studies, campus team. We need to base our relationship on communication, prayer. This is why we need community (and family)! Spiritual disciplines are meant to upkeep, and maintain our Spiritual health with Jesus. if you do QT’s for the sake of satisfying that 15 minutes in the morning, you’re not going to encounter Jesus fully, because all you’re expecting is QT’s. You need a basis of health, in order to upkeep your health.

Moreover, let’s start understanding spiritual health as one that’s defined by wellness through maintaining and upkeeping our relationship with Jesus, rather than only treating and addressing symptoms when we’re in lack of Jesus.

I choose to believe in the bigger God. He’s not only the God who redeems my life, but He’s the God who can redeem my family, my campus, the Public Health infrastructure of this society, the health injustices of this country, the health injustices of this world.

there’s something discomforting about our reality. you see, there’s this thing called lies, that keeps overtaking our sense of identity, and moreover, our sense of authority. we originated from God, we’re one with Him, and therefore, we are made and we carry His thoughts. but recently, what i’ve been hearing is a lot of “not enough”s and “not for me”s. the truth is, it is for you. you are enough, you are more than enough, you are created to be something more. in essence, you already are something more.

I think Jesus’ reality is different from our reality. in the Kingdom, there is no room for lies, there is no room for “not enough”s and “not for me”s. He’s calling us to be a generation who looks for more; He’s looking for people who call out His reality and carry His truth among the lost. Right? As His children, we need to step (and live) in the reality that He created. The reality that we are made to live in is not one of brokenness, the cross declared a shift in reality, which is one that’s centered on the works of the cross, and not the pitfall of man. Is the act of settling among the reality of brokenness not as offensive of a sin than to disregard Christ’s death for you? Do we as sons and daughters, with direct lineage to Jesus, understand reality as one that already carries freedom and healing?
